Where the Wild Things Are // Book design
To experiment with the relation between words and illustration, I came out with a book of a unique format as a re-make one of the greatest children’s book of all time by Maurice Sendak. The idea is to take the reader to the words first, giving a space for imagination, then the illustration comes in as a surprise element everytime you flip the page.

All illustrations are drawn and painted with gouache, avoiding the depiction of a particular main character in order to keep a more abstract form of story-telling.
