To create a series of illustration to be used in the World Food Programme annual report, I used traditional watercolour to portray the agony and dark torture people go through when hunger and famine strikes are depicted in these vertical format illustrations. With a slight tinge of abstract, brown colour and texture symbolizes the state of poverty, malnutrition and lack of education often link to what WFP has been trying to curb.
